This website has been created to highlight those very special hockey players, goaltenders, some of our very FAVORITE people. We will provide photos, videos and anecdotes for everyone that loves goalies the way we do! We have included important goalie links, and hope you will share any additional ones that you come across.

Good luck to our very favorite goalie, Robert Esche (see right), who played last season with HC Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), in far away Belarus. This season, Chico has signed a one year contract to play for the SCL Tigers in Switzerland! Another foreign jersey to add to our Esche collection!

We have included many of the blogs and links that the many visitors to Jeremy Roenick Dot Com have requested not disappear forever. Don't worry, they haven't gone anywhere, they have just found a NEW place to live! Just because the website is currently dead and gone, doesn't mean our blogs and links have disappeared! Included you will find the infamous Ramblings of a Romantic which lives on after the untimely demise of Notes from a Redhead, mourned by all redhead bloggers involved (yes, plural redheads, a scary thought, isn't it?). More updates to the HOCKEY NOVEL are coming soon, with excerpts from Chapters Three and Four. There are people who won't be happy with our novel, but hey, it really ISN'T all about them!

A WORD ABOUT GOALIES

Goaltending is the most specialized position in ice hockey; no goalies play other positions and no other players play goalie.

The goaltender has special privileges that other players do not. He wears special goaltending equipment that is different from that worn by other players, and is subject to specific regulations.

Additionally, if a goaltender acts in such a way that would cause a normal player to be given a penalty, such as slashing or tripping another player, the goaltender cannot be sent to the penalty box.

And besides.... Goalies are HOT.
