HALIFAX, Nova Scotia —
Westmoreland's Robert Esche made 17 saves in goal to help the United States
defeat Norway 9-1 on Monday in the world hockey championships.
It was the second straight start in goal for Esche, who spent the 2007-08
season playing in Russia.
The United States improved to 3-2 with the win and wrapped up third place in
Pool F. The United States' next game will be against the loser of Monday's
Canada vs. Finland matchup. That game will be played at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
